My first proper photography project started in 2009. It’s a study in geometry and color looking to flatten the medium into two dimensions. Above all the objective was to subvert the modernist pull toward contriving meaning or political calls to action into the work. This initial project continues to inform my approach to photography in that the heart of the work should be beauty itself. The rest is icing on the cake.
